This episode explains so very well the relationship Black have with their health in America. As a Black birth doula and both parents passed away, I know all to well what Blacks encounter in healthcare. This podcast breaks it down so very well - we cannot expect the AMA to change the narrative when it comes to Black maternal health when it was and still is part of the problem today. One of the lastinge memories I have of my mother's passing in 2018 is arguing over her while she was in her hopsital bed with white and asian phyicians because they did not believe she was in pain with endstage renal disease. As a Black woman I've had my share of racist care from my birth in 1964 to my son's birth in 1990. As a certfied birth doula I see the racism directed at my Black clients continiously...This podcast sheds light and I am so thrilled.
Outstanding. And the poem at the end is so telling. It describes that distrust of Medical professionals so well. Well done
